Dr. Md. Abdul Malak

Dr. Md. Abdul Malak is a geographer with over a decade of research experience in climate change adaptation, human mobility, livelihoods, resilience, refugees, the political economy of environmental change, spatial analysis, and critical reviews, both in Bangladesh and internationally. He has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, covering academic and development research.
Dr. Malak holds a PhD in Human Geography from the School of Geography and Sustainable Communities at the University of Wollongong. He also earned his B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in Geography and Environment from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Environment at Jagannath University, Bangladesh. In addition, he is the Director of the Centre for Climate, Society, and Environment at Jagannath University, where he leads research initiatives on climate change impacts, community adaptation strategies, and migration patterns.
